Community Project: Services Computing Curriculum Initiative

Services Computing 2007 (SC 2007), Curriculum Guidelines for Undergraduate Degree Programs in Services Computing, is a community initiative of extending the traditional landscape of hardware and software based computing discipline to cover Services innovation area. This Services Computing Curriculum Initiative presents a new discipline, services computing, to co-exist with several computing disciplines such as computer science, computer engineering, software engineering and information systems. The development process began with the first International Conference on Web Services (2003), “Body of Knowledge on Services Computing” (2006) and “Services University” program (2007) sponsored by the Technical Committee on Services Computing within IEEE Computer Society. More committee members, including representatives from the other societies are being added to join this community effort.
