VP of Service Society, Dr. Min Luo recently discussed with Mr. Jixun Bai, the Head of the Training Center of the Chinese State Administration of Foreign Expert Affairs, the importance of service computing, especially the promotion of such knowledge areas in China while most of the practitioners are not fully prepared for this paradigm shift in IT, and how Services Society and the affiliated Service University with its IEEE sanctioned MS degree program in Services Computing could provide advanced and practical training to Chinese professors, and leading practitioners. Some initial agreements were reached and further cooperation details on will be discussed and finalized soon. Dr. Liangjie Zhang, IEEE Technical Committee on Services Computing Chair, also participated in some talks and events and demonstrated his strong support for such a program.
