Introduction
The International Conference on Services Computing (SCC) is an international forum dedicated to the foundations, technologies, engineering methods, management practices, and applications of computing-enabled services.
Services Computing studies how information technology and computational capabilities can be used to model, design, create, compose, deliver, operate, manage, and continuously improve services. It connects computing technologies with users, organizations, business processes, and value networks.
As digital systems become increasingly intelligent and autonomous, the focus of Services Computing is expanding from delivering predefined functions to enabling adaptive, outcome-oriented, and user-centric services. This transition requires new approaches to service modeling, engineering, composition, management, quality assurance, governance, and value creation.
SCC 2026 welcomes original research, system innovations, empirical studies, tools, benchmarks, and evidence-based industry experience that advance the science and practice of Services Computing.
SCC 2026 Theme
The theme of SCC 2026 is:
Agentic AI as a Service for User-Centric Services Computing
Agentic AI introduces software entities that can understand objectives, formulate plans, invoke resources, coordinate with other agents and people, and perform multi-step tasks. When these capabilities are delivered as services, they create new opportunities to build adaptive and outcome-oriented service systems.
However, autonomy alone does not make a service valuable. Agentic services must remain aligned with user goals, organizational policies, operational constraints, and societal expectations.
For SCC, the central question is therefore:
How can agentic capabilities be engineered, delivered, managed, and governed as user-centric services that create dependable real-world value?
Agentic AI as a Service transforms Services Computing:
From provider-defined functions to user-goal-oriented services
From static service workflows to adaptive orchestration
From isolated automation to human–agent collaboration
From service availability to dependable task completion
From conventional Quality of Service to quality of outcome and experience
From one-time delivery to continuous value co-creation
From service management to lifecycle governance of autonomous services
Addressing this transformation requires advances in service capability modeling, service contracts, composition, orchestration, lifecycle management, quality evaluation, trust, governance, human oversight, and service economics.
SCC 2026 invites researchers and practitioners to develop the foundations of responsible, dependable, and value-oriented agentic service systems.
Scope and Topics of Interest
SCC focuses on the general principles, engineering methods, lifecycle processes, management mechanisms, and value models of computing-enabled services.
Research whose primary contribution concerns Web interfaces and protocols, cloud infrastructure, big-data technologies, edge computing, the Internet of Things, cognitive computing, or blockchain should be submitted to the corresponding SCF conference unless it makes a clear contribution to Services Computing.

Paper Tracks
The SCC 2026 technical program includes four submission tracks.
Research Track
The Research Track welcomes original and technically rigorous contributions that advance the theories, models, architectures, methods, or engineering foundations of Services Computing.
Research papers should:
Clearly define the service-related research problem
Explain the novelty relative to relevant literature
Present technically sound methods or models
Provide rigorous and reproducible evaluation
Discuss limitations and threats to validity
Demonstrate a generalizable contribution to Services Computing
Application and Industry Track
The Application and Industry Track focuses on innovative service systems, deployed solutions, organizational practices, and evidence-based industry experience.
Papers should:
Describe a significant real-world service problem
Explain the service architecture and implementation
Present deployment evidence or measurable outcomes
Discuss organizational and operational constraints
Identify transferable engineering or management lessons
Clarify the practical or system-level innovation
Papers in this track do not need to introduce a new algorithm. However, they should make a substantive contribution through service-system design, integration, deployment evidence, operational innovation, or generalizable practical knowledge.
Short Paper Track
The Short Paper Track welcomes focused contributions, including:
Promising early-stage research
Novel service concepts or architectural designs
Emerging challenges and research visions
Datasets, benchmarks, tools, and reusable artifacts
Focused empirical findings or negative results
Concise application and deployment reports
Short papers must clearly state their contribution, supporting evidence, relationship to prior work, and limitations.
Special Paper Track
The Special Paper Track addresses designated emerging topics and community priorities announced by SCC 2026. Submissions should follow the requirements of the corresponding special-track call.
Review and Submission Requirements
All submissions must report original and unpublished work and must not be under review elsewhere at the time of submission.
Each manuscript will be reviewed by at least three program committee members. Papers will be evaluated according to:
Relevance to SCC
Originality and significance
Technical or practical quality
Strength of evidence
Clarity and organization
Reproducibility
Research or real-world impact
Papers should position their contributions accurately within the relevant international literature. Authors are encouraged to cite SCC and other conferences or journals when genuinely relevant. Citation of any particular venue is not required.
Research Track and Application and Industry Track manuscripts are limited to 15 pages in the Springer LNCS format. Short Paper Track manuscripts are limited to 8 pages. Authors may purchase up to two additional pages, subject to the applicable publication fee. Special Paper Track submissions should follow the page limits specified in the corresponding call.

Electronic submission in PDF or Word format is required. Manuscripts that do not follow the required format or exceed the permitted page limit may be returned without review.
A Research Track submission that primarily presents an application or deployed solution may be recommended for consideration by the Application and Industry Track.
At least one author of each accepted paper must register for SCC 2026 and present the work at the conference.

Conference Proceedings
Accepted and presented SCC 2026 papers will be published in the conference proceedings, which are scheduled to appear in Springer’s Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series.
Springer makes LNCS proceedings available to major abstracting and indexing services. Final inclusion of a volume or individual paper is determined by the policies and selection criteria of each indexing service.
Under the current SCF publication arrangement, the SCC 2026 proceedings are expected to become freely accessible through SpringerLink four years after publication.
Extended versions of selected papers may be invited to relevant partner journals. Journal submissions must include substantial extensions and will undergo the journal’s independent editorial and peer-review process.

Academic Development
Services Computing emerged from the convergence of distributed computing, Service-Oriented Architecture, business-process management, enterprise integration, and the growing services economy. It has since developed into a multidisciplinary field connecting computing technologies with service engineering, organizational processes, business innovation, and value creation.
Recent SCC conferences were held in Seattle in 2018, San Diego in 2019, virtually in 2020 and 2021, Hawaii in 2022, Shenzhen in 2023, Bangkok in 2024, and Hong Kong in 2025.
SCC 2026 continues this development by examining how agentic intelligence can be transformed into manageable, trustworthy, and user-centric services.
SCC and Smart Computing Frontier
SCC is a member of the Smart Computing Frontier, a federation of ten co-located international conferences.
Within SCF, SCC focuses on the general foundations and lifecycle of computing-enabled services—from service modeling and engineering to delivery, management, governance, and value realization.
